Easter Egg Decorating!!!

Filling each color with an egg.

Naomee using the paint to stencil a design on her egg.
Let's decorate some eggs!!!

So many colors to choose from!!

Let's get started!
This year we actually got to decorating our eggs well before Easter. Usually we decorate the night before. We spent quite a while using egg colors and stencils and glitter. What a mess, but so much fun!!!

Crazy Boys!!!

This is the crazy group of Young Men and Leaders that went Snow Caving last weekend.Crazy man wants to sleep in the snow! :)
This trip was a little different than normal. Shawn was driving and towing the scout trailer. He pulled over to the side of the road to allow other cars to pass since he was slower, but when he started to try moving forward again he began to slide. The truck slid in one direction and the trailer began to slide in another causing them to jack knife. All of this happened while not even really putting on the gas or brakes. After a long battle to get chains on the front of the truck and using traction bars to unstick the truck and trailer, they made it to there destination in one piece. Shawn said all the boys kept there cool, while the leaders dealt with the vehicles. Shawn also told them on the way home that if they wanted to pray the whole way down the mountain that was fine with him. Luckily there were no more problems.

Happy Birthday Naomee!
Princess Naomee's Birthday Party!

Ring a Round the Rosie!!

Present time!!

Make a Wish!!!

Naomee's birthday party was on Saturday the 8th. We invited 3 boys and 2 girls for a total of 3 girls and 3 boys. One of the little boys wasn't able to make it, which made Naomee sad. We played a few rounds of Ring a Round the Rosie's, Red Light Green Light, and Naomee's new game "Can do Roo". Some of the kids had a hard time focusing or wanting to play a game, but they all enjoyed the presents and cake and icecream. Naomee could hardly wait for the party to start, she watched out the window for almost 30 mins before the party started. She kept saying "they are not coming!!!". One hour after it all started it ended. But Naomee had so much fun!

Children's Museum with Grandparents 2-2-08

Cadie and Madie playing with magnetic flat blocks at the Children's Museum. Grammy Susan and Grandpa Mike came with us to spend the day.

Naomee brushing the teeth of an Alligator.

Naomee learns that this light cast a shadow on the wall. She measured the size of her hand against her Grammy's on the wall.

Cadie's finished castle.

Holding Eowyn!!

Cadie is upset that she had to give up holding Eowyn.

Can you believe how much Cadie loves to her cousin? So much so that she gets mad when she has to share.

Smiles

Cadie trying to hide her smile!

Naomee and her funny smile!!

This is Madie, and her pretty smile!!

Naomee's Early 4th Birthday Party!

This is a framed picture of Naomee holding Eowyn her brand new cousin. What you can't see is that Naomee's smile in that picture is really funny. This was her present from her Aunt and Uncle.

This is Roo, he is part of a game that she got from her Grandparents. You pull out instructions from his pouch and either hop or say things according to the directions. It is VERY educational and fun at the same time. The older girls had fun with it the next morning before school. There was a lot of hopping going on that morning.

Just opening presents Sunday before her birthday. We decided to let her open some since the next day would be her birthday and this is when her Aunt and Uncle could be there to see it.

"I love being the birthday girl!!"

"See my stash!!"

We will be having her first party this Saturday. She has talked of nothing else for weeks. And now that her birthday is here she thinks I should make her a cake everyday.

On Sunday for dinner with her Aunt and Uncle I asked her which she wanted me to make a cake or brownies. She said brownies. So of course I made brownies. Then the next morning (her actual birthday) she woke up and asked if I was going to make her a cake today. I told her that she was having her cake on Saturday for her party. Then we took her to dinner and she asked if THEY were going to make her cake for her. I told her maybe not, but that they will probably give her ice cream. Now she is so excited that her cake will be tomorrow. I am having a friend make it for me. She is much better at designing a cake and decorating it. So I gave her the idea we wanted and the outcome will be terrific. She is the same one that helped Cadie make her cake.

Dancing Machine!!

Can you pin point Madie, she is the last girl to the right on the floor.
Madie after her dance!

Madie is the last one in the first line. This is them coming out and getting ready to dance during half time.
The High School Dance Team invited girls from K-8th to come and learn a dance to be preformed at the last basketball game of the year. They call it a dance camp and it is a way for them to earn money. This is Madie's second time being involved with this camp, but the first time they actually preformed for an audience. Madie loved every minute of it and wasn't afraid to get out and dance in front of a packed crowd. We are working on gettting her into some dance classes. She picks this stuff so easily.

Lunar Eclipse!!

The little dot of light is the last that you can see of the moon. There was about 20 more mins before total eclipse.

This was as seen from our back deck. About 30 mins from total eclipse here!

The girls loved watching the moons disappearance. I only wish I had a better lens on my camera. This was as close as I could get.
