Ok so here is how it started. I was talking with Cadie this morning at about 7:30 and when she left my room I heard some noise that I thought was her opening and closing her closet. I didn't want her to wake her sisters up in the next room, so I went to ask her to stop. Then I heard the noise again. I went to listen close to my bathroom where I thought I heard it the first time. It turns out there was this scratching noise above my bathroom and only the bathroom. I contacted Shawn and asked if he would come home and check it out. I didn't want to climb a ladder and into the attic pregnant. So Cadie came back into my room and we were talking when heard the scratching again. I wasn't too worried Shawn was going to come home and check it out. Then all of a sudden Cadie and I heard something that sounded like my toilet overflowing. I went to check it out and saw a drowned rat looking thing sitting on my toilet seat. I screamed and really scared Cadie she started to get scared and when her sisters came in the room to see what was wrong Cadie took them into their room and kept repeating. "I don't know what it is, there is something wrong in mommies bathroom." I texted Shawn, since I knew he would answer his pager before his phone, and told him that a Rat had came up through the toilet. Then I went and looked again at the creature and shut the bathroom door. It turns out that it was a squirrel and not a rat, Thank goodness.
This is the poor thing that got trapped in the toilet vent on the roof and fell in. He was scratching to get out of the tube. I tried to get him into a box to take him outside but he starting jumping all over the place. I decided that I needed to get some outside help. I called several friends and once they all stopped laughing they were finally able to come and help me. The ones that came to help me had a couple of teenage boys that I knew would be eager to help me eradicate my vermin. And they were, they brought their Air Soft guns to stun the thing with. But the decision was made to open the window to the bathroom and try and direct it out that way. It finally made a 2 story leap to the ground and was last seen running into the bushes. The boys were disappointed that they couldn't use their air soft guns. I had called someone professional to come and get the squirrel out, but they wanted $129 to remove the animal and place it back in my yard. My friends did it for a plate of Brownies. And all it took was a broom!!!
This the girls on the roof with Shawn checking things out making sure that all was well after the squirrel incendent. All of this happened before 9am this morning. What a crazy way to start the day!

OH MAN!!! That is the funniest most weird thing ever!!!! Glad you got rid of the things! Brownie payments are always the best. :)
KJ Gavin and Hayden came over and I offered them and KJ was like no that is fine. Gavin was like, "Brownies, we can do Brownies." So I will take them something today or tomorrow!
That is funny! And I thought running had fun adventures! Nothing compared to a toilet exploding with squirl! When are you due? I didn't know you were having a baby!

That is too funny, something you would never expect to happen. I'm glad you got it out and back in the yard!!!
Laura, I am 12 weeks and due on February 27th. But hopefully with the girls track records this one won't come any earlier than the 1st of the month.
We have EVIL squirrels in our backyard! They throw things at the kids and chitter at them and scare them half to death! Larry got a BB gun for the primary purpose of ridding our yard of these rodents.
Oh, and by the way, your story was hilarious! And congratulations on your expecting status!
We have about 3-4 squirrels that reside near or in our yard, but the never cause any more trouble than digging in the grass.
That is such a good story! Reminds me of the Sunday morning we found a live rat in our newspaper. There was some screaming involved there too... and a shovel I believe...
That's TOO funny! Isn't blogging a great thing for stories like this? I love to find out that weird things happen to others and not just me! Tell everyone Hi from me! Love you guys!
Also, I love to read your blog, I just forget to comment! I'll be better, I promise!
By the way, Congrats on the baby! I never heard you were pregnant!
